Masum was a poor little child from Ratanganj, Jamalpur. People called him 'Masuimma'. He was the only jewel in the hearts of Farid Sheikh and Tara-Bibi. He was the only child of his parents. He ran a tea shop all day, went to the market in the evening, bought a little food, and returned home at night. This struggle in life was not the only thing that moves Farid Sheikh and Tara-Bibi. Their only child, Masum, also did. Although they didn't want him to understand anything, the scene of his parents feeding him while he was starving and half-starved creates an emotional atmosphere. Which he could never ignore. Although his surroundings were not good, he grew up in a poor but ideal family. Which taught him respect and love for his parents.
One rainy season, his primary school on the banks of the river
was swept away by the Yamuna River due to the upstream flood. A day later,
their house was washed away. He said to his father, “Father, where are we going
from here?” His father told him, “Father, let’s sell the tea shop in Ganj and
go to Dhaka." At this moment of flood, they took shelter in a concrete building of a college in a nearby union. They were not alone there. There were many other people like them. She was overwhelmed by the love of her parents and felt that the happiness of life lies here.
Masum is a great character. Very nice, MashAllah.
